AFT Sp. z o.o. is the owner of a patent for an innovative production technology of elastomer centric butterfly valves. In October 2008 two research projects were finalized, which resulted in the start-up of the production of centric butterfly valves defined on the following patent: “Method of making the valve disc as well as the valve disc itself”.

For both of these projects two EU subsidies were granted:

• Project goal titled “Launching the production of innovative centric butterfly valves with welded disc and reinforced with filling” (144/p-162/2007 dated May 18th, 2007)
• Project goal with technological initiative titled “Research and preparing for  production of the innovative centric butterfly valve on AFT’s premises” (04003/C.T02-IT/2007 dated December 10th, 2007)
  

The EURODISC® valve with its range of diameters from DN 500 to DN 1000, developed and put into production, is ready for sale. Suitable actuators are additionally available on request.

Traditional applications for this type of valve are public utilities and industrial installations. Two basic types of elastomer linings are used EPDM and NBR.
The standard version of the disc is made in steel quality 316L.

Further design engineering and construction is being done to extend the valve range from DN 1000 to DN 1600.
