PROTEGO was founded in 1954 and is a producer of different types of flame arresters and pressure / vacuum relief valves as well as tank equipment.
AFT has been a representative of PROTEGO in Poland since 2003.
Increased standards and requirements concerning safety and environment protection for production plants caused PROTEGO to create a new generation of devices. It focuses mainly on plants which produce, process, store or transport flammable or explosive substances.
Since 2003 the following EU directive 94/9/EC (in Poland since 2004), commonly called ATEX directive, has been in force. “Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres”.
PROTEGO products comply with the requirements of this directive and take into account guidelines of EN, ISO standards and the American USCG standards.
Introduced ATEX directives for the producer and others requirements for the user require special knowledge to ensure a careful choice of proper devices. Due to the many installations, which are equipped with PROTEGO products all over the world, we can benefit from the extensive know-how and experience of our partner.
For the full understanding and proper interpretation of the ATEX directive we conduct trainings and provide technical advices.
